FlightScope Mevo Gen2 Cuts Launch Monitor Price Nearly in Half
FlightScope has released the Mevo Gen2, a personal launch monitor positioned as a lower-cost alternative to its previous model. According to Golf.com, the new device cuts the price of the prior version nearly in half while still delivering what the outlet describes as impressive accuracy.
For home simulator builders, launch monitor cost is often the single largest barrier to entry. A price cut of this size makes the Mevo line accessible to golfers assembling a setup on a limited budget.
What’s Known So Far
FlightScope lists the Mevo Gen2 at $1,299 on its own store; the unit was announced in August 2025 at a launch price of $1,199. The Mevo+ it effectively replaces carries a $2,299 list price on FlightScope’s site, though remaining Mevo+ stock is being cleared at $1,099. Golf.com describes the change as a drop “from $2,200” to $1,299 — either way, the Gen2 lands at roughly half the outgoing model’s list price. Optional software add-ons are extra: FlightScope prices the combined Pro Package and Face Impact Location upgrade at $1,499 list, currently discounted to $850. Prices are as listed by FlightScope at time of publication and have already moved once since launch.
FlightScope’s product documentation lists the Mevo Gen2’s full-swing parameters as carry, roll and total distance, ball speed, club speed, smash factor, vertical and horizontal launch angle, spin rate, spin axis, apex height, flight time, lateral landing, angle of attack, spin loft, shot type and shot dispersion. Chipping mode tracks essentially the same set, and putting mode reports launch speed, total distance and ball direction. Tracking uses FlightScope’s Fusion Tracking Technology, which combines 3D Doppler radar with synchronized image processing, and the unit has a built-in camera for swing video, a six-hour battery and USB-C charging.
FlightScope states that all core data parameters, firmware updates and software fixes are free, with no subscription required. Golf.com’s review praises the unit’s accuracy but publishes no measured figures or benchmark comparisons.
